Minimally invasive
Focused energy is delivered without a surgical incision.
SONIRE is developing a next-generation ultrasound-guided HIFU therapy system designed around treatment visibility, heating efficiency, multi-point irradiation and precise positioning.
A transducer generates ultrasound outside the body and concentrates it at a target. As HIFU propagates through tissue, absorbed acoustic energy is converted to heat at the focal region.

SONIRE’s current site highlights three HIFU characteristics: minimal invasiveness, the possibility of one-day treatment, and repeatability without radiation exposure.

SONIRE’s published materials describe an outpatient treatment model.
Unlike radiation, HIFU itself does not use ionizing radiation.
SONIRE creates cavitation bubbles with ultrasound pulses. Its public technology description says those bubbles both enhance absorption of acoustic energy and help visualize the treatment area under ultrasound guidance.

The system is designed to reduce interference between treatment HIFU and ultrasound imaging so clinicians can maintain a useful field of view during treatment.

The current SONIRE site includes treatment-visualization motion content. Here the concept becomes a full-width moving field rather than a tiny embedded clip.
SONIRE uses the absorption of ultrasound energy by cavitation bubbles to enhance heating efficiency.

Rapid multi-focus scanning is intended to increase treatment efficiency compared with a single-focus approach.

Precision drive mode supports millimeter-scale irradiation control while manual mode is designed for intuitive positioning.

SONIRE’s public 2026 materials describe the platform as combining real-time imaging guidance with noise cancellation, cavitation bubble visualization, robot-assisted positioning and rapid multi-focus scanning.
